have faith in life

Colleague received news that her ex-colleague passed away this morning. It seemed that she committed suicide by jumping out from the kitchen window. Highly suspected it is due to work-related stress. Though i do not know her, its quite depressing when i see my colleague crying. Some of the other colleagues who knew her also shed tears. Quite a gloomy day....

Coincidently, i had been pondering over the topic of death recently also. No...! I am not thinking of committing suicide. No worries please.. Life is still very beautiful enough for me to carry on now. Its just that i wonder if people are afraid of death. What is it that they are actually afraid of? I do not think that they are actually scared of death itself, but rather of losing what they have. At least, that's very frightening for me.

I do not like to be left alone (unless in situations when i need my own personal time). An ex-secondary classmate once wrote in my autograph that i am a "bu4 kan1 ji4 mo4" person. (meaning i dun like loneliness and stuff).

Yea.. i do not like loneliness. Like i always say to someone "dont leave me all alone" i really mean it.

Back to the topic earlier on, life is really very fragile. Nevermind the fact that I have not experience any death in my family before (not counting the demise of my pets), i can understand the sadness that the living have to go through. Its quite reassuring to know that i can still empathize when i encounter any death claim though i had been in the insurance industry all these while.

This is humanity, isnt it?
