Our masterpiece 2 - Wu Xiang

After our success at the dumplings, we continued with something more challenging - Wu Xiang. The ingredients used are similar to the dumplings with only the flavouring and the skin used to wrap the Wu Xiang are different.

By the time we bought all the ingredients, Mr Bunny was so tired that he fell asleep in my room. I could not wait til he got up so i prepared everything. From peeling the water chestnuts to shelling the prawns and mixing everything with the Wu Xiang powder we bought. Then i left the mixture in the fridge for the flavouring to set in.

When Mr Bunny woke up, we started wrapping them. Bunny was disappointed i did not wait for him to start. HA... Ops... I did it again... ^_^ I am just impatient. We steamed all the Wu Xiangs before frying them. My whole kitchen was oily from the frying and cooking that i had to mop the whole floor. (thats something i hate about cooking) However, the satisfaction came from the nice, crispy Wu Xiang that we had made. It was a success though much improvements can be made.

Since we also bought a packet of Chrysanthemum flowers, we decided to brew some. Now i understand Queen's feelings when PS used so many utensils just to make some pasta. My Mr Bunny used just as many utensil just to brew some chrysanthemum tea and almost bent one of my ladle while sieving the tea from the flowers. -_- arrrgghh...

However, it was fun and everything was edible and drinkable. No tummyache.... yet... ^_^

Next on our list of masterpieces is BO BO CHA CHA. Desert Time!
