Darth Vader in a wedding??

Attended Bunny's friend's wedding last sunday at Marriot Hotel. My first time having a lunch banquet. The solemnization area was not so fantastic. With the construction of the new shopping building - The Ion as the background was not very attractive. Anyway, thats not the main point...

The JP.. well was a bit long-winded when he started "preaching" on the "secrets/tips" of a sucessful marriage. Bun thought he was attending a religious event. :) ops....
Oh ya.. some of the guests were instructed to set off these fireworks when the couple walk past after the solemnization and Bun was one of them. Being the first time playing with fireworks, bun and friend were reading the instructions on how to pop the thing.. The thing with Singaporeans is that they follow instructions too closely. The tube stated : tear off the top... Thus Bun tore off the top piece of paper.. (See pic below)
In the end, the fireworks wouldnt go off. HO HO HO....
What is INTERESTING is when we were waiting outside the ballroom. Who should drop by? Star Wars ???? YEah.. that's right. The couple got people to dress up as characters in Star Wars to entertain the guest before the start of the lunch. Cool.. Well, im not a fan of Stars Wars and i thought they look a bit frightening with the guns and stuff.

What was most touching was the groom standing on the stage trying to make a little speech but ended up tearing. I nearly cried there and then as it seems i could feel how much the couple love each other.

I conclude the angbao was well spent. :)
